Shift Decision Journal is a U.S.-English publication about evaluating extra-shift opportunities and making personal availability precise.
What the journal contributes
The articles organize a decision around two time boundaries, the assumptions between them and the unanswered facts that could change it. Worked examples are invented. The diagram and shift-window arithmetic are original explanatory models, not reproductions of Allied Universal interfaces or internal policies.
The collection has three reading paths: Read the decision, Build a window and Shape availability, plus a sensitivity exercise. Readers can use the model without visiting an account page. This publication is not an employment service, an official portal or a support desk.

Evidence and method
Public official pages were checked October 16, 2026: the Earn More overview, the Login Portal directory and the public LISA address. The LISA page exposed a JavaScript-required message to the review method; no private workflow or account was tested. Article source notes identify the relevant public starting points.
Public descriptions establish context, not personal eligibility, pay, assignment status or current instructions. Most of the journal’s practical material is explicitly editorial planning analysis: invented time cases, boundary checks, uncertainty questions and reconciliation methods. None is presented as Allied Universal policy.
Articles compare the public sources linked beside each analysis, distinguish source statements from editorial interpretation and label fictional examples. No private employee account or authenticated workflow was tested. What the planner can establish
The planner compares a hypothetical expanded work interval with a hypothetical availability interval. It calculates elapsed minutes on an ordinary clock. It cannot handle daylight-saving transitions, time-zone changes, legal rest requirements, fatigue, wages, overtime, qualifications, approval or a live schedule. Its result never accepts or changes a shift.
